In addition to the full chorus, we also feature a number of small groups that can provide customized entertainment for you and your organization, as well as three performance-ready quartets within the chorus. These ladies are the perfect fit for corporate gatherings, special occasions, and civic events. Complete with costume and choreography, the performance group and the selection of songs — which includes up-tunes, swing tempos and sentimental ballads — can easily be tailored to your needs and preferences.

Our small groups have performed at store openings, managed care facilities, memorial ceremonies, retirement parties, inaugurations, holiday parties, and so much more. We've sung for Senators, Governors, Mayors, company presidents, co-workers and kids. And we'd love to sing for you!

The Spirit of Syracuse believes that quartetting fosters strong musicianship and a commitment to the best in barbershop singing - our three quartets are ready for your call!

Blue Skies - Denise Winberger, tenor; Mary Tanner, lead; Rhonda Spolestra, bari; Maria Manzare, bass.

Blue Skies Quartet is made up of four women whose goal is to do just what their name implies - brighten the lives of those who hear them sing. Each of these women brings her own special talent to the quartet: tenor Denise Weinberger, a barbershopper from birth, was also a member of an award-winning chorale in college; baritone Rhonda Spolestra has sung in folk groups and bands for many years; lead Mary Tanner thoroughly enjoys the camaraderie and special bond with her quartet sisters; bass Maria Manzare provides the warm, rich foundation of this wonderful group. We are Maybe Quartet - a rather funny name for a quartet, but it seemed very fitting for us when we were asked, "will you be practicing tonight?" "Maybe." "Will you sing a song for us?" "Maybe!" "Will you register as a bona fide quartet?" "Maybe!" And so our name was born! We are four professional women, four mothers with very busy schedules whose love of music brought us togeter over one year ago. That same love of music has helped us forge new friendships with one another, and begin a new journey to musical excellence - both as a quartet and as chorus members. We simply love singing together. Skylark - Sky Harris, tenor; Amy Manley, lead; Sheryl Allyn, bari; Barbara Wright, bass.

The newest quartet formed from the fire of the Spirit of Syracuse, Skylark endeavors to deliver every performance with wit and style. Sky, Amy, Barb, and Sheryl have a tremendous passion for singing in this unique art form and have a goal to always keep improving upon the great skills the chorus has afforded them.
