Big News: Spirit of Syracuse Headed to International!

We are thrilled to announce that the Spirit of Syracuse Chorus has officially accepted a wildcard invitation to compete in the 2026 Sweet Adelines International Competition in Columbus, Ohio!

After a season filled with hard work, harmony, and heart, our chorus is honored to take the international stage once again. This wildcard spot is a testament to the dedication of every member of our chorus family -- especially on the heals of our highest regional score in our 67 year history!

Spirit of Syracuse Chorus Shines at Region 15 Contest!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Spirit of Syracuse Chorus has achieved a 2nd place finish at the recent Sweet Adelines Region 15 competition—with our highest score ever of 636 points! This incredible milestone reflects the dedication, passion, and harmony that define our chorus. We were honored to place just behind the Sirens of Gotham Chorus, who took 1st place with a score of 650.

SOS Scores Big in Kansas City!

The Spirit of Syracuse Chorus rolled into Kansas City this October with a few shared goals...give it all on the stage and make ourselves proud. Goals achieved! The 67 members of the SOS chorus walked off the Sweet Adelines International stage earning their highest score to date and placing a 18th, once again ranking the chorus among the best SAI choruses in the world. A top 20 finish out of over 600 choruses around the globe.

SOS Gets Wildcard Bid to New Orleans!

In an unexpected, yet thrilling, chain of events, the Spirit of Syracuse Chorus has officially accepted an invitation to compete in the 2019 Sweet Adelines International Competition in New Orleans! SOS will once again join their friends from Greater Nassau on the 'Big Stage' during SAI's penultimate showcase of harmonic talents.

"When I first got the email with the wildcard invite, I had to read it multiple times. I could not believe it," says SOS Team Leader, Amy Manley. "We are so incredibly honored and humbled to be able to have this wonderful opportunity again."

Lakeside A Cappella 2018 Clinicians Announced!

Registration for Lakeside A Cappella, the Northeast's premeire youth harmony camp is now open!!!

We are super excited to finally announce that SIGNATURE, BHS 2017 International 2nd Place Quartet Medalist, and LOVENOTES, 2014 Sweet Adelines International Queens of Harmony, will be our clinicians this Jully at Cazenovia College.

SOS Sparkles in Vegas

Stepping into the bright lights of the Sweet Adelines International Competition, the Spirit of Syracuse proudly represented the Greater NY/NJ region 15 in the world-wide event.

Eighteen months after their highest scoring regional contest in chorus history, 65 members of SOS savored their moment at the international showcase. Although this was the 5^th time in its 60-year history that chorus has received a bid to SAI’s penultimate dance, this was a first-time experience for more than half of our membership.

Flying home as one of the top 30 choruses in the world was a humbling experience, and we are super excited to take the journey again.
