Meet Melanie!

Occupation: Marketing Proposal Specialist

Melanie joined us in July of 2022 as a Tenor! She first heard about us through one of her friends who is a member of the chorus. When we held our membership drive in the Summer, she came to check us out! She enjoys her fellow singers and building relationships with new people. She also feels that singing with the Spirit of Syracuse has given her more confidence in her capabilities and she is eager to continue building that confidence. Her favorite memory was having a guest sing a song with us and working on different interpretations of that song. We are confident that you are a wonderful person, Melanie! We love having you with us!

Meet Paula!

Occupation: Retired Materials Forecasting Analyst

Meet Cassia!
Occupation: Scientist

Cassia joined us in fall of 2021 as a Baritone! She came to a rehearsal back in 2018 to test the waters, but her work schedule changed and she was unable to commit. A few years later, she noticed a coworker wearing an SOS jacket, was reintroduced to the group, and soon after became a member! She feels that the chorus provides her with a creative space and consistent vocal practice that she has been looking for since college. She loves the barbershop style because it's a unique style that offers up a rewarding challenge. Her favorite memory is that of our chorus retreat. She enjoyed getting professional coached while having the opportunity to get to know other members of the chorus better (plus have some extra fun)!
